Managing Extensions

NERVI features an extensible design where third-party features and plugins can be added dynamically. Extensions are placed in a dedicated directory and managed directly from the command line.

📂 Extensions Directory

On Windows, extensions reside in: %AppData%\Roaming\nervi\extensions\<extension-id>\

Each extension folder must contain:

  1. manifest.json: Configuration, metadata, and tool interfaces.
  2. The executable binary declared in the manifest.

🛠️ CLI Extension Commands

All plugins are controlled using the nervi app subcommand suite:

1. List Installed Plugins

./nervi app list

2. Download and Install

./nervi app install <extension-id>

Downloads a compiled zip file from the NERVI marketplace, extracts it, and registers it.

3. Toggle Status (Enable/Disable)

./nervi app <extension-id> disable
./nervi app <extension-id> enable

4. Spawning Extensions

  • Tool Mode Execution:
    ./nervi app call <extension-id> <tool-name> [json-args]

  • Menu Mode Execution:
    ./nervi app <extension-id>
